In 1915, the Rojas González de Castilla family began a long tradition that has been passed down from generation to generation. Alfonso founded Forward of Laredo, Inc in 1992 after graduating from Anahuac University and earning an MBA from the University of Miami. He obtained the Customs Broker patent (3577) two years after establishing his first Mexican company.

He established the Customs Agency Cargodec Mx in 1994, positioning it as the leading agency on the Northern Border. From 2003 to 2005, he served as Executive Vice President of the CAAAREM Confederation of Associations of Customs Agents of the Republic for the first time.

He was President of the Board of Directors of Corporate Business Promoters that same year and, for the first time, President of CAAAREM until 2007. From 2011 to 2013, he was chosen for the same position.

From 2007 to 2009, Alfonso Rojas served as President of the Inter-American Institute of Borders and Customs, or IIFA.

The COPARMEX union, the Mexican Republic’s Employers’ Confederation, recognized Alfonso’s dedication by inviting him to serve as Director and President (2008-20111) and President of COPARMEX in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas (2009-2010).

As President of the Association of Professional Customs Agents in the Americas, ASPRA (2013-2017) invited him to join the organization.

Because of his career and experience, COMCE, the biggest private sector organization in international commerce, requested him to serve as Vice President for Mexico-United States in 2016.

He has been a member of the World Customs Organization’s «Private Sector Consulting Group» since 2017. Since 2019, he has served as President of the Private Sector Regional Group for the Americas and the Caribbean.
